County Video Explains Why Reducing Second-Hand Smoke Matters

A video interview gives background on why the county adopted a second-hand smoking ordinance.

The Marin County's government channel has produced this two-minute video interview with Bob Curry, program coordinator of the Tobacco Related Disease Control Program at the Marin County Department of Health & Human Services.

In the video, Curry explains that although Marin has one of the lowest rates of smoking in the state, second-hand smoke impacts residents where they live, work and play.

The County adopted a county-wide ordinance in May 22 that bans smoking in apartment and comdominium complexes in unincorporated areas of Marin, according to an article in the Marin IJ.
