It is fish fry season, and the Plymouth VFW Post 6695 will be hosting several of them. The Plymouth VFW Post 6695 is also home to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 528.
These fish fries will be every Friday, and they will begin on March 7th, and continue through April 18th. Using my fingers to count, I believe that is seven of them.
The dinners run on Fridays from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and they cook their fish as it is ordered, so that you will get your fish freshly cooked. To be clear, you will not be getting fish that has been mass cooked and sitting under a heat lamp getting soggy.
I had the Cod on my first trip to the fish fry, and today I will go for the Canadian Walleye. I am really excited for this, as it has been a long time since I have had the pleasure of a good Walleye dinner.
The menu includes:
Fish Dinners: Fried or Baked
3 Piece Fish---$9.00
4 Piece Fish---$10.00 (me)
2 Piece Fish Child/Senior Citizen---$7.00
6 Piece Shrimp Dinner---$9.00
Canadian Walleye Dinner---$11.00
All dinners served with choice of fries, baked potato, or mac & cheese, and slaw, roll and butter, and coffee.
Chicken Strip Dinners
4 Piece Chicken---$9.00
2 Piece child/Senior Citizen---$6.00
Mac & Cheese---$1.50
If you have never been to an event or dinner with the folks at the Plymouth VFW Post 6695, you should make some time to attend. You'll not find a nicer group of people to share a great meal with, and I speak from experience.
