Young Woman nursing student looking for a place to live:

Hi, my name is Mackenzie and I am a twenty-year-old nursing student at Dominican University of California. I am searching for a place to call home and am interested in finding a home where I can provide companionship and light care in exchange for a room. I am entering my third year of nursing school and as such I have gained experience in nursing care and in particular, elderly care needs. I have worked in an assisted living home as well as a skilled nursing facility where I provided simple nursing care such as toileting, assistance with eating, and bathing. I have also worked extensively with the older population at Marin General on the MedSurg Unit in providing medication, explaining upcoming treatments, and offering a listening ear. What I am looking for is a home with an older adult/couple who needs light assistance in daily activities and companionship. I would be willing to provide light housekeeping, cook a couple meals a week, grocery shopping, a watchful eye and a warm, welcoming presence. I am also open to other living arrangements in exchange for a similar compensation.
