Marin Human Rights Commission Announces 2013 MLK Jr. Awardees

The 32nd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Dinner Gala will be held by the Marin Human Rights Commission at the Embassy Suites Hotel on January 23, 2014, to honor Marin’s youth and adults for their remarkable humanitarian achievements.

This year, the Commission looks forward to presenting keynote speaker, Reverend Veronica Goines, the pastor at the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Marin City. Rev. Goines has served at St Andrews church as the Pastor for 14 years.  She is also the pastor of Anne Lamonte.  This year's program includes a special performance from members of Reverend Goines' choir. 

This year, the Marin Human Rights Commission will honor the following awardees:

Adult Humanitarian Awardees:  Jim Geraghty, Keith Jackson, Nancy Johnson, John Ortega and Laura Talmus            

Youth Awardees: Adolfo Aguilar, David Calderon, Lauren Perry-Carrera, Shelby Kisner, Shayna Lee, and Dulce Rivas

A Certificate of Recognition will be presented to Katherine Crecelius
