The results are in, and on Fourth Street wins Readers' Choice for best bike shop in San Rafael.
Mike's Bikes is the founding store of the Bay Area bike store chain. Founded in 1964, the bike shop was one of Marin County's very first Schwinn shops and is rumored to be home to some of the first mountain bikes in the country, according to their website.
Mike's now has stores in Palo Alto, Berkeley, Los Gatos, Sacramento, San Francisco, Petaluma, Sausalito and Walnut Creek. Pleastanton and San Jose locations will be opening this year.

The store sells road bicycles, mountain bicycles, components, accessories and clothing. The store offers price matching and a 5-year service policy on purchased bicycles. Mike's Bikes also hosts events for the community such as bike maintenance classes and local bike rides.
