Kellogg's Frosted and Unfrosted Mini-Wheats Recalled for Metal Fragments

The cereal possibly contains fragments of metal mesh from a manufacturing part.

You better not eat your Mini-Wheats if they have a certain code on them.

Kellogg's has initiated a voluntary recall of cereal due to the possible presence of fragments of flexible metal mesh from a faulty manufacturing part, the company said.

Products covered by the recall include Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size with the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the "Best If Used Before" date.

I bought a box of Mini Wheats small bites. I was not aware of the recall. I poured all of the cereal in a large bowl. I put all the cereal back in the box. I placed a strong magnet in the crumbs. I found some of the crumbs attached to the magnet and would not wipe off. I tapped it several times. My husband ate three bites before my son told us about the recall. I have concerns about this cereal.
