You won't find Hallmark cards for National Pancake Day, but there is a way to celebrate the kind-of-made-up holiday in Marin.
IHOP, which has a location in on Fourth St. in San Rafael and in the Vintage Oak shopping center in Novato, is giving away free pancakes on Tuesday to celebrate National Pancake Day.
The restaurant also is aiming to raise $3 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in celebration of the organization’s 30th anniversary, so the pancakes are free but the restaurant is asking customers to make a charitable donation.
