Fitness Center Shuts its Doors After 5 Years

The Loop fitness center will close permanently on May 11.

After five years on Fourth Street, fitness center will be closing its doors  permanently on May 11 due to an expired lease.

The Loop, operated by 24 Hour Fitness, recently notified its members of the closure. Current members have access to the nearest 24 Hour Fitness location, which is at 1001 Larkspur Landing Circle in Larkspur. No other clubs in the surrounding location will be closed, according to the company.

“[The Larkspur club] is much larger, offers a wider assortment of equipment, and still features many of the same amenities our San Rafael members have enjoyed for years,” a company spokesperson said.
