The Friends of the Library are having a book sale on Saturday, September 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Library.
Family Service Agency of Marin has added a new session of for divorced or separated families. The class will begin Wednesday, September 12 and meets every Wednesday for six sessions from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Classes are offered for a sliding-scale fee that ranges between $15 and $40. Beaders will have to trek to Berkeley in order to visit Baubles and Beads from now on as the owners have consolidated from two stores into one. Still offering beading and jewerly classes, just a little farther from Marin.
Keeping it green in Marin as the sits atop a hangar at the San Rafael Airport and will be up and running by the end of September. When complete, the panels will produce enough power for 280 homes for up to a year and over 1,200 customers during peak energy production. It will offset about 750 tons of greenhouse emissions annually. That’s a lot of gas!
