Best Burger Winner: Phyllis' Giant Burgers

This 31-year old restaurant won for best burger in San Rafael.

After a week of voting, came out the winner for San Rafael's best spot to get a juicey burger.

Phyllis Giant Burgers opened up in 1981. It has won numerous awards for its burgers by Pacific Sun and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Its popular burgers are the Giant Cheese (a half-pound beauty) and a bacon burger. The menu also features chicken burgers, hot dogs, corn dogs and salads.

Second Place: The silver medal goes to Weezy's located on Del Ganado Road in Terra Linda. The location offers a wide range of options, specialzing in using quality grass fed ground beef. Some menu options include apple cured bacon burgers, vegan patties, cheese burgers, teriyaki burgers, french fries, sweet potato fries, salads, and more. Call for details on vegan options or for information on grass fed beef.

Third Place: Bronze is for Best Burger in Montecito Plaza. This spot specializes in burgers and chicken sandwiches. Service is limited here, as you order at the counter and pick it up when the staff call your number. The burgers are excellent and prices are very reasonable.
