Steel Pulse Arrives At Fair With Musical Message

The Grammy-winning reggae band takes the stage at the Marin County Fair on July 3.

For more than 34 years, David Hinds and Selwyn Brown of the Grammy-winning group Steel Pulse have expressed their anger, sorrow, hopes and their pleas for change over popular reggae beats, reaching the masses with a wide range of protest songs.

They'll bring that message to the Marin County Fair on July 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Steel Pulse members mine the experiences and emotions from their own childhood roots in the United Kingdom to their ancestors' journeys for their music.

Steel Pulse has explored various styles of music since the band started out in 1975, and has continued their commitment to fighting injustice, educating the masses, and promoting positive messages through spiritually uplifting music.

It would be nice if the comments section had "Thumbs up / Thumbs down" like the PressRead More Democrat.

We have been to Pet Emergency a few times with various animals over the years, and they areRead More absolutely FANTASTIC! Top quality medical care, and a very caring and compassionate staff. I can't say that I look forward to going there (sick pets are always difficult), but I am sure glad they are here for us when we need them!
