Pick and choose from this week’s array of events.

Glad you clicked on our new Grab & Go Kids Planner!

We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Look for the kids’ planner each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box. Even if you disagree with our picks, let us know. We want to hear from you!

Where/When: San Rafael Community Center, 618 B. St. Gymnasium, San Rafael, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 a.m - 11:30 a.m.

Why Go: Because the kids need some jumping, twirling, hopping-on-one-foot time.  This just might be the ticket.

Pricing: Drop-in $10. Jump-up (for kids crawling to 22 months) class is from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. High Jump (for kids 23 months to 3 years) is from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 am.

Where/When: Marin Civic Center Exhibit Hall, 10 Avenue of Flags, San Rafael, Thursday, 9 a.m. - noon.

Why Go:  Celebrate National Agricultural Week (that’s quite a mouth full) and bring the kids to meet the ranchers and farmers that grow their food. The kids will have a great time with hands-on activities and cool exhibits. Plus the farm animals are always a big hit. Moo.

Pricing: Free

Where/When: Marinwood Community Center, 775 Miller Creek Road, San Rafael, Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Why Go: Because the kids have outgrown their toys and it’s time to refresh the collection. Why not check this sale out? Maybe you’ll find that one special game that’ll entertain them quietly for hours. Yeah. Right.

Pricing: Depends on what shiny thing catches your eye.
