Participants keep track of their summer reading on a reading log. Reading does not have to be done in the library, but when and wherever it is convenient. After reaching certain goals, participants bring in their reading logs to the library to collect prizes. Scroll down to see a list of goals and prizes!

How do we sign up?

Visit the children's room of the San Rafael Public Library to fill out a registration card and pick up a reading log. Participants get a bookmark of their choice when they sign up!

Why join?

Studies show that students who participate in a summer reading program are more likely to read at or above their grade level and are more likely to retain their literacy skills into the next school year.
