Some Like It Hot

March 29, 30 & 31 - 7:30 pm
April 1 - 2 pm

Excitement, disguises, laughs, song and dance abound in this roaring twenties comedy.  Based on the famous movie of the same title,  two out of work musicians, Joe and Jerry, inadvertently witness the Saint Valentine's Day massacre of 1929 and are spotted by “Spats” Colombo and his gang.  The two flee for their lives, but the only way out of town is to disguise themselves as girls and take a job with an all-girl band heading for Florida.  As Josephine and Geraldine, they are hired. On the trip to Miami, Florida they fall for “Sugar Kane,” the band’s vocalist, though it’s very hard to pursue her while they are disguised as women.  But once they are in Florida, Joe charms Sugar by pretending to be a millionaire, the heir to Shell Oil.  Meanwhile, a real millionaire, Osgood Fielding III, falls for Jerry in his disguise.  And then Spats and his gang show up at the Florida Hotel.   There's plenty of excitement and humor; the songs and dances are accompanied by our own pit band conducted by Anne Lerner-Wright.  Don't miss the fun!
