SingersMarin presents "Tis the Season...a Winter Fantasy"

SingersMarin invites you to come hear a wonderful selection of Christmas and Hanukah music at its holiday concert on Sunday December 18 at 4 pm at the Marin Center. As in previous years, the adult and youth choruses of SingersMarin perform a wide variety of seasonal favorites and contemporary treasures on the festive stage of the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium. This year’s “Winter Fantasy” will lift your spirits with magnificent soaring music that is sure to put you in that very special mood of the season that only music can bring.

Fresh from their appearance at Carnegie Hall, the beloved chorus Wings of Song will offer several Christmas jewels by the much-loved contemporary British composer John Rutter. These works were on their New York program, where they sang under the baton of the composer himself. This season’s concert will also feature English composers, Ralph Vaughan Williams with his “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” with guest baritone soloist Lee Strawn. A string quartet from the Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra will provide accompaniment, along with the sensitive artistry of Irene Jacobson and Jeffrey Paul at the piano. The endearing Caroling Kids lead the audience in the sing-along carols throughout the show, while special visuals and lighting effects create an enchanting holiday concert!

Don’t miss this unforgettable musical experience for you, your families, and your friends. The concert takes place at the Marin Center Veterans' Memorial Auditorium in San Rafael. Tickets are available from the Marin Center Box office (415-499-6800) or Ticketmaster (415-421-8497).
