Johnny Allair, "Marin County's Original Rock & Roller" with Opening Band The Windshield Cowboys

Johnny Allair has been rock & rollin' for over fifty-five years! Now at the age of 72 he is the star of a feature film documentary titled "John Allair Digs In" by Marin County's own Academy Award-winning filmmaker John Korty. According to Marin Independent Journal writer Paul Liberatore; "after 55 years of performing, touring and recording in this country and abroad, John is still going strong, playing all kinds of keyboards and belting out the blues with amazing energy and enthusiasm. This film chronicles his past and samples his present work, both performing and composing. The wildness of his live shows is interspersed with the contrasting quiet and concentration of John working his day job-tuning pianos."

John has performed with the greats of rock including Van Morrison (touring during most of the 80's), Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead) and Terry Haggerty (Sons of Champlin). Since 2001 he has self-produced three solo CD's and a new fourth release, a Historic live recording made in 1960 with his 50 year collaborator, drummer Pete Lind. Come see what a still wild live rock & roll show experience should be with the
inimitable talents of Johnny Allair!

Opening the show are The Windshield Cowboys, a smokin' hot jamband americana-style group from Northern California. Original music that spans several genres such as rock, blues, psychedelic ,alt-country. If you enjoy bands like the Allman Bros, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, Graham Parsons, Dire Straits and so on...you will love this band!  Don't let the name fool you...this is not country music...it's something fresh and different that anyone who appreciates well crafted songs and excellent musicianship will appreciate.
