Celebrate San Rafael! Young Artists Explore Local History

As part of 2nd Fridays Art Walk and National Arts in Education Week, the San Rafael history mural at Youth in Arts (917 C Street), created by Davidson Middle School students, will be celebrated at a public reception Friday, September 14 from 5-8 p.m.

Davidson students researched, designed and painted the mural for the refurbished facade of 917 C Street. The students are currently helping to curate and install an exhibit on the mural's creation, which will be open in the Youth in Arts gallery for Friday's event.

Supported by the County of Marin, the Fenwick Foundation, the MacPhail Family and the Marin Community Foundation, the mural will be officially dedicated in a ceremony at 6 p.m.
