Celebrate the 23rd Anniversary of El Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, in San Rafael beginning at 4 p.m. Reading time and storytelling, craft and art workshops for children, a procession through the neighborhood, drumming and dancing of the Aztec and Mayan civilizations, dancers in traditional dresses and the heart of the event -- altars of offerings for the recently deceased family members.
The 2011 Organizing Committee includes the Canal Welcome Center, Pickleweed Community Center and Library, Catholic Charities, Community Leaders, Canal Alliance and Local Artists.
