Earth Day Weekend

Are you looking for something nearby to do this weekend? Check out some of the cool things on the San Rafael Patch Events Calendar and see if there's something for you.

Friday:

Join the Marin County Bicycle Coalition on Earth Day, Friday, at 4 p.m. for a bike ride to celebrate the late Supervisor Charles McGlashan's life of accomplishments. Charles was a heroic environmentalist and an avid bicyclist. His profile picture on Facebook even pictured him on bike wearing the Marin County Bicycle Coalition jersey! We'll meet on Friday, on the lawn in front of the post office on North San Pedro Road near the Civic Center and head south on bicycle Route 5, making stops along the way to talk about Charles' work on SMART, the Cal Park Tunnel, the Pilot Program and the Alto Tunnel. The ride will end at Wilderness Travel Bike's Mill Valley office at 475 Miller Ave. for refreshments and reflections. Please wear helmets for the ride.

If you go: For additional details about the estimated times that we will arrive at various locations along the way click here.
