MARIN COUNTY BAKESALE FOR JAPAN

Why Go: Because your kids want to be involved. Really. Help by making some baked goods to sell at the Mart. Or if you don’t feel like baking, why not go out, buy something delicious, knowing that all proceeds go to Peace, Winds, Japan. You can drop off the goodies after 8 a.m.

Pricing: Depends on whether you’re baking or buying.  Either way it’s a win-win. For more info contact email marinb4j@gmail.com.

LAKE LAGUNITAS

Where/When: Sky Oaks Road, Fairfax

Why Go: The kids are ready for a hike (and so are you).  This time of year is the perfect time to walk around the lake.  The kids can search out salamanders and newts or watch the birds. You can take in the fresh air.

Pricing: Free

MINI PHOTOGRAPH SESSION

Pricing: $60 for mini shoot. Make an appointment early as the sessions book up fast at kelly@kellybakerphotography.com.

SLEEPING BEAUTY

Where/When: Playhouse, 27 Kensington Rd., San Anselmo, Friday 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Why Go: There’s something about this ballet that kids love, and why not?  Could it be the lovely princess and lavish costumes? Or maybe it’s the fairies and magic spells?  Either way, there's plenty of tutus.

Pricing: $12-$20.  For more info call 415-454-5759.

It would be nice if the comments section had "Thumbs up / Thumbs down" like the PressRead More Democrat.

We have been to Pet Emergency a few times with various animals over the years, and they areRead More absolutely FANTASTIC! Top quality medical care, and a very caring and compassionate staff. I can't say that I look forward to going there (sick pets are always difficult), but I am sure glad they are here for us when we need them!
