Why Go: Because it’s not every day that you’re invited to wear your unapologetic red outfit and join the art loving throngs downtown.

2. DAVID NELSON BAND
Where/When: Palm Ballroom (Seafood Peddler Restaurant), 100 Yacht Club Drive, Friday & Saturday 7:30 p.m. - 12 a.m.
Why Go: Because these veteran musicians are roots, rock & country all mashed into a great groove. Tie dyed shirts required.  Just kiddin’.

Where/When: Smith Rafael Film Center, 1118 Fourth St., San Rafael, Feb. 11 - 17
Why Go: Here’s your chance to see these films before the Academy Awards.  See one or see them all.

4. FARLEY BAR
Where/When: Cavallo Point, 601 Murray Circle, Fort Baker
Why Go: Besides being in our own backyard, the setting is knock-your-socks-off beautiful. Bring your sweetie and make believe you’re on holiday.

5. BREWS, BIKES. BUCKS: MEET THE MT. BIKE PIONEERS
Where/When: The Broken Drum Brewery, 1132 Fourth Street San Rafael, Sunday 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Why Go: Hang out with some of the biggest names in mountain biking. Stick around for a beer and a bite. Buy some raffle tickets.  It’s all for Trips for Kids; a great cause.
