Friday:

Enjoy open studios, art shows, receptions and music as you take part in the ongoing Art Walk in downtown San Rafael.  Each month, galleries and other shops open their doors to host artists and art work. This week there’s 3D art, a reception at , underwater photography at , Wishbone at and much more.

Join Women on Wheels and for an evening celebrating the bicycle as a vehicle for change locally and globally. Festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a reception (food provided by Sol Food) and continue with the Marin premiere of "With My Own Two Wheels." This uplifting documentary weaves together the stories of five inspiring individuals from Ghana, Guatemala, India, Zambia and Santa Barbara, Calif. The transformative power of the bicycle is demonstrated by people whose lives are fundamentally changed. The film will be followed immediately by a Q&A moderated by Deb Hubsmith, featuring Jacob Seigel-Boettner (producer-director), Jelani Bertoni (The Bicycle Works) and Cheryl Longinotti (Women on Wheels).

If you go: Tickets are $12 in advance at The Bicycle Works or online here and $15 at the door. Seating is limited and is expected to sell out. The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the, 1115 Third Street in San Rafael.

Sunday:

A dazzling display of automotive classics from Europe and America, as well as vintage campers, trailers and wooden boats will highlight the 3rd Annual Marin-Sonoma Concours d’Elegance. Along with more than 200 cars on display, vehicles in 19 classes will be judged by automotive experts and enthusiasts. A few of this year’s fascinating vehicles include a brilliant red and chrome Rolls-Royce Torpedo Tourer, an exceedingly rare 1918 Chevrolet V8 touring car as well as a rare showing of American Bantam coupes, sedans and Speedsters microcars.

If you go: Tickets are $20 and sold at the gate. Children 16 and under are free if accompanied by an adult. Pre-sale tickets to a private V.I.P. Tent with gourmet food and beverages are $75 each (includes admission to the Concours). To purchase tickets click here or call (415) 479-7727. The Concours is open from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the , Marin Civic Center in San Rafael.
