Patch reader Chuck Ciaccio was driving to work Tuesday morning when he saw something strange on the curb of Fifth Avenue in San Rafael.

On the curb of Fifth Avenue, between Grand and Irwin, sat a chimpanzee-like face wrapped in what looks like some sort of plastic.

"Scared me at first but upon inspection I realized it was a mask of some sort," he wrote.
