Let’s Hear it for the Marin Daddies!

It's Father's Day this weekend and it's good to say, "Thanks for being you!"

Fathers can play a special role in a child’s life. They are great at teaching someone how to ride a bike, climb trees and play sports. Many dads work very, very hard to provide for their families, and this year, show the father figure in the house a good time!

Father’s Day is a reminder to appreciate all that dads do, from fixing the drippy sink faucet to taking out the garbage and coaching a soccer team every Saturday morning.  What do these dads want for their big day? If a gift is what the family wants to give to Dad, it's always helpful to think about what he prefers to do on his day off, besides spending time with his family, of course!

Does he love to swing the golf club and does he dream about shooting a hole-in-one? Pick up a gift certificate from where not only the driving range but the 18-hole course can have Dad putting, swinging and missing to his hearts content. Is there a rock star just dying to break out of Dad and into a garage band? Head over to the , where equipment rentals are available alongside class schedules for musicians of all levels.

If the daredevil Dad  is looking for new gear, head over to for the latest and greatest in road and mountain biking. Want to surprise him with a great selection of  local microbrewed craft beers? Look no further than  , where a delightful selection of 22 ounce and six-pack bottles can be found.Bacon and eggs sounding good but no one wants to cook? Head to breakfast hot spot , where delicious and classic menu items are whipped up from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Disclaimer - head in early for the best seating options!

It's important to remember that fancy gifts are wonderful but not necessary. Dads are just as happy to see something from the heart, no matter what the cost.  A fun arts and crafts project such as a DAD BADGE or a Father’s Day Banner are just as wonderful because it was made with little hands and little hearts. Any father will enjoy a quite walk, a game of catch, a picture or even a play written and delivered with love.

Enjoy the weather this weekend and be sure to send some love and appreciation towards some well deserving dads!
