Labor Day Block Parties, Fall Dance Classes and Photo Contests
From Labor Day block parties to new dance classes and last viewing opportunities, this is what you need to know this week.
Here's what you need to know this week:
Family Fun: On Monday Sun Valley Residents will be celebrating Labor Day block-party style. Start off at Sun Valley Park for the Labor Day Parade at 1 p.m. and then head to from 2 - 5p.m. There will be live music, a barbacue and games for the kids!
New Beginnings: The fall session classes at begin on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Classes are available for children ages 2 and up. The Just Dance Academy has been training dancers in San Rafael for over 17 years. For more information about classes and pricing, click here.
A Cosmic Journey: Cosmologist Brian Swimme takes viewers on a 14 billion year voyage through time and space during an exclusive screening and discussion of his new film, Journey of the Universe. For more information, click here. Sept. 7, Angelico Concert Hall, 7p.m.
Educational Open Houses: The is holding an open house for all Marin County teachers on Thursday. This is a great opportunity to meet with non-profit and historical groups while planning out field trips for the year. 4-6p.m.
Last Chances: Friday is the last day to view the entries from the Marin Arts Photography Contest at the. 11a.m. - 6:00p.m.
