Michael Chabon In-Person Reading and Book-Signing

Aspiring writers, literary fans, parents, grandparents and children alike are all invited to meet bestselling and Pulitzer-prize winning author Michael Chabon present his new children’s book The Astonishing Secret of Awesome Man at the Osher Marin JCC, in partnership with Book Passage and Brandeis Hillel Day School. Based on Chabon’s experiences with his own son, The Astonishing Secret of Awesome Man perfectly captures the fantasy life of young superhero fans. Awesome Man has a cape as red as a rocket, mask as black as midnight, stylin’ letter “A” on his chest, and trusty sidekick Moskowitz the Awesome Dog. But the most awesome thing about Awesome Man is his secret. Careful readers will pick up on illustrated clues throughout the book, leading to the discovery of Awesome Man’s super-secret identity. (The Astonishing Secret of Awesome Man is written by Michael Chabon, illustrated by Jake Parker and published by Balzer + Bray, a division of HarperCollins; Ages 4 to 8, $17.99; On Sale September 6, 2011.)
