Emerging Leaders Program Application Deadline Approaching Soon!

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Monday, November 18th –The Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership (Center) will be hosting its Winter Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), an intensive four day training for current and aspiring leaders including first time Executive Directors and nonprofit managers pursuing a leadership career track. The program is also appropriate for experienced corporate/government executives transitioning to the nonprofit sector.

The program addresses the core competencies needed to effectively manage organizations and complex programs, as well as the leadership skills one needs to be successful within our quickly changing sector. "I learned more and was inspired more by the four days at ELP than I was by the four years I spent at Stanford. I feel like I came away with an arsenal of knowledge that all leaders of nonprofits should have," says Shuai Chen, Executive Director, SCRAP and a recent graduate of the Emerging Leaders Program.

In the four days of this program, participants learn everything from financial and legal compliance, to staff management, and business strategy. We need these leaders and we need them to hit the ground running!

Participants must register by November 27th and the full day session dates are December 3rd and 4th and January 21st and 23rd. Visit http://www.cvnl.org/learning/emerging-leaders-program for detailed information about the program.

The Center offers an array of other trainings throughout the year, on topics ranging from board governance to fund development.
