Community Corner

Become a Volunteer BoardMatch Coordinator

Are you interested in nonprofit governance? Do you have a passion for nonprofits? BoardMatch (BoMa) Coordinators are key players in BoardMatch Marin, a program of Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership (Center) and Volunteer Marin that connects individuals in the community to open seats on nonprofit boards. Center staff network with agency partners to maintain a list of board position openings, conducts community outreach to recruit quality candidates to fill openings, and offers ongoing support to candidates and agencies through a board governance workshop series.

BoMa Coordinators play an instrumental role in the matching process by conducting one-on-one consultation sessions with prospective board members and referring them to position openings that match their interests and qualifications.  The Center seeks applicants with a background in human resources or related experience and a passion for advancing the mission of nonprofit agencies in Marin. For more information about becoming a Volunteer BoardMatch Coordinator visit www.volunteermarin.org or contact Lauren Dunford, Volunteer Services Associate, at 415-479-5710, ldunford@cvnl.org.
