Huey Lewis and The News kick off the 2014 Marin County Fair at 7:30 p.m. July 2.

I vote Night Ranger as the crappiest choice of all though Huey is a close second. No amount ofRead More overpriced beer could get me dancing to that painful AM filler. Get Paul Libertori to book it next year.

What kind of music would you book? Have you ever heard Night Ranger or Huey live?
Brad Sears April 16, 2014 at 05:55 am
Since there is a tendency to book locals I'd start out with Jack Elliot (dirty sea shanties) addRead More Jorma with The Tubes finishing off. Get Paul Libertori or someone that books bands for the Rancho. Yes I have experienced Night Ranger in all their hyped hair metal glory.
Marin County property taxes are due.

they can hardly wait to get their hands on more of our money. Why do they say anything? Everyone whoRead More owns property knows about their property tax payments so why do we allow our government to waste even more of our money telling us what we already know. Government is not supposed to cater to incompetent people is it? Theater of the absurd! %^&$#! tax man!

Ha they spend twice as much on Administration and finance as they do on Community services. AndRead More “The budget is now balanced because of past decisions to reduce spending and to pay down of retiree liabilities,” said County Administrator Matthew Hymel. It's all in their definition of 'balanced'. Remember Clinton... "I did not have sexual relations with that woman..." statement. So the county has their out of control retirements giveaway TOTALLY under control? Right. I smell more tax increases on the way so they can get more money to play with. Hope I am wrong.

Mingus Tarpon(if this is your real name) I have never engaged a conversation with you so yourRead More character attack is unwarranted. As before, I ask people to merely watch the videos and draw their own conclusions. It is amazing how aggressive this attacks are when the truth is simply revealed. Try being civil. I am sickened by your willingness to cover up an environmental crime and politicians to protect them. For people who wish to see the sworn testimony on the Toxic Waste Controversy and Susan Adams attempt to derail the prompt clean up see: http://www.savemarinwood.org/search/label/toxic%20waste

Stephen, Please read my comments again. They do not constitute a character attack in any way. TheyRead More are a compliment and an observation. All of my points are being highlighted in your comments to me... the over the top language; the accusation of my willingness to cover up crimes - unspecified and not borne out or even related in any way to any of my comments; the red herring about never having engaged in a conversation with me; the comment about the "aggressive attacks when truth is revealed" (proven false on its face by the fact that neither I nor others have attacked anyone - other than you attacking everyone. Also note that the tone of my observations is entirely civil. By your tone I suspect you are new to community involvement and civil debate. You don't need to knock the other side to make your points. You don't need to create issues to promote your point of view. You don't need to interrupt public meetings. I know that has been the tone of politics in recent years (hence my suspicion of your new arrival on the scene) but if there is anything most people dislike about politics it is that very tone. Won't you be one of those that helps bring back the era of an engaged, polite, passionate citizenry that speaks to the issues?

"Mingus Tarpon" once again you attack without substance to your allegations. Instead ofRead More ad hominem why not offer your own ideas and promote genuine discussion? I am tired of feeding trolls but gladly will discuss real issues that matter.

Larkspur Library is the greatest place to learn, be entertained and enjoy all life has to offer. TheRead More staff is there hands-on to help. Then there is the Corte Madera Library...so many choices. Libraries - they always need your support.
