Teen Arrested for Alleged DUI, Multiple Fake IDs

California Highway Patrol says 19-year-old San Rafael resident was found in possession of five pieces of false identification.

A 19-year-old San Rafael woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and possessing multiple forms of false identification early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police said that an officer pulled over a green Pontiac Firebird that was weaving and straddling lanes on northbound Hwy. 101 near the Waldo Tunnel at around 1:25 a.m. After sobriety tests, Korinna Outwater of San Rafael was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and her vehicle was towed, according to CHP Sgt. Marcus Bartholomew.

As she was being booked into the Marin County Jail, police said they found Outwater to be in possession of three counterfeit IDs from the State of Hawaii in her name with different dates of birth, making her age range from 22 to 24 years old. Officers said they also discovered an expired California driver’s license and an expired Minnesota driver’s license. Those IDs belonged to women with physical features similar to Outwater who were 21 and 22 years old, respectively, police said.

Bartholomew said that as a driver under 21 years of age with alcohol in her system, Outwater faces an automatic “zero tolerance” one-year suspension of her driver’s license. If she is found guilty of possessing false identification, she would be subject to a separate one-year suspension of her license. False identification, counterfeit identification, and possessing another’s ID or driver’s license range from misdemeanor to felony charges.
