Local Congressional Candidate to Hold Dial-in Town Hall

Stacey Lawson will hold a town hall meeting through the telephone wires on Sept. 22 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

San Rafael congressional candidate Stacey Lawson will kick off her campaign with a live call-in town hall on Sept. 22.

“Sure, it’s a little untraditional to begin a campaign with a district-wide phone call, but I’m an unconventional candidate,” the 2nd District candidate said in a statement.

The call will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. this Thursday. People interested in listening can fill out an online form and an automated system will call them with the dial-in details on Thursday.

Lawson’s competitors include activist Norman Solomon, Assemblyman Jared Huffman, Marin Supervisor Susan Adams and and Petaluma City Council member Tiffany Renée.

“Our goal is to start a movement of extraordinary citizens working together,” Lawson said.
